BFH Alumni Prepare for Lent 2015

Lent is the season of penance and prayer before Easter.  It is a time that BFHS alumni remember well.  Ash Wednesday marked the beginning of Lent.

Ash Wednesday ImageWe all remember the black cross of palm ashes that was placed on our foreheads, reminding us that it was time to temporarily give up many of those things we cherished, all the while forming ourselves spiritually to prepare for the coming of Holy Week, and the burst of joy that Easter Sunday brings to each person and their family.

It is a time for us to pray for those less fortunate than we, to help others who need the basic necessities for life and to remind ourselves to again practice  those values andprinciples we learned while we were students at BFHS.  Lent is a time to give back.  May every BFHS alum experience the true meaning of Lent and the joy of Easter.
